Wood Structure House

This project explores the interplay of physics and aesthetics through a timber-structured residential design. The approach began with the creation of two simple machines using everyday materials found in the studio, such as bricks, basswood, stones, wooden pipes, and concrete. These lightweight constructions allowed for the extraction of conceptual diagrams: one focusing on balance and the other on a single connection point between three box-like forms.

The final design consists of three interconnected masses—two grounded and one elevated—forming a composition that tilts and shifts, challenging traditional notions of spatial equilibrium. This dynamic configuration investigates new possibilities of physical balance, merging functionality with an innovative architectural expression.
