The word “Jump Cut” is commonly used in film or video editing, referring to a technique where a scene abruptly transitions to another. We interpreted this concept in the architectural context and applied it to our project. In architecture, “Jump Cut” serves as an intriguing design element that abruptly transforms the design language. When a portion of the façade’s design language transitions into another, Jump Cut provides users with unexpected experiences and surprises, making the space more captivating.
