Data Center for Mining Bit Coin in Wall Street
Is it time to move beyond a human-centric perspective? Are we at a point where we need to rethink our global structure and the role of design in this major change?
In the bustling metropolis of New York, where tradition meets the digital realm, the integration of a data center with the iconic NYSE symbolizes a new era for Wall Street infrastructure. This architectural masterpiece represents the interplay between urbanity and humanity in the digital age, capturing the essence of preservation and transformation. Inspired by Euclidean geometry and Paul Rudolph's Blue Cross Building, 1001 ornaments transcend beauty, functioning as ventilation and new era monuments. They are pivotal in enhancing the cooling efficiency for Bitcoin mining machines, which occupy 70% of the space. The facade moves beyond traditional glass, blurring the line between the machine-dominated interior and the vibrant streets. This venture symbolizes the harmonious integration of technology, culture, and economics at the core of New York City's evolution, informed by theories of ornament, monumentality, and interior urbanism.
